Community Hall
The TRA have come up with a wide range of improvements they would like to see at the Community Hall. There needs to be a review of the use of the Hall with a view to maximising opportunities for the local community to make better use of it and also to maximise income.
Open Areas
The TRA, following a meeting of residents on 15 November 2018 and
subsequent meetings, agreed their priorities:
Pram sheds/garage near Springett House – consultation and plan;
Develop a strategy around Youth and Play on whole estate;
Children’s Playground by Springett House – Review;
Review of the Green areas e.g. near Effra Road and side of Tenants Hall;
Consultation / Review Bike Sheds
Estate Walkabout
There will be six weekly walkabouts to start in the new year, TRA members, Councillors and members of staff of Lambeth council will be invited.
Monthly Housing Surgery
Surgery details: Once a month in the Tenants Hall
Notice Boards and Signage
TRA requested a cohesive rebranding that includes Lambeth Living to be removed; new buildings to shown on all the maps; review of all block names so easily identifiable.
TRA requested sign boards to advertise events and issues
Road Signs
The estate has issues of motorists using the estate roads as short cut when the traffic builds up in the main road. They have requested a no through road sign to warn motorists about children crossing the road.
